We publish solution-focused, theoretical and practical books covering a huge range of subject areas and research disciplines. The Earthscan Affiliate Programme offers you the chance to become a commission-based affiliate partner with us, promoting our books through your website and earning money on every book purchased by the buyers you send to www.earthscan.co.uk through a click-through link on you site.

How it works
Signing up is quick, easy, and completely free.
To apply to be an affiliate simply submit your name, email address and website domain on our sign up page. If you are not already a registered member on our website you will be asked to register first before going through to the affiliate sign up page.
You will receive a confirmation email from us, after which you will be able to log in to your affiliate account and choose the books you want to promote and a customized banner to display them.
Once you've chosen your books and banner, hit ‘generate code’ to automatically generate the HTML script you need to add to your website. Simply copy and paste it into the HTML coding of your site where you want to display our books.
For every person you send through to our website, you will receive a 10% commission on all their purchases for up to 1 month.
You will have constant access to live statistics so you can keep a close eye on how many people you’ve sent through to us, what books people are buying, and how much commission you’re making.
Managing your account
You can fully customize which books you want to promote and how you want to display them on your site. When choosing your books you can:
- Individually hand-pick the books you want to promote, searching by author, book title or ISBN
- Display all of our books in a certain subject category (e.g. Climate Change) that automatically updates to include our latest publications as they become available on the Earthscan website
Once you’ve chosen your books you can then customize how they appear on your site:
First choose if you want to display prices in British Pounds of US Dollars. Then choose between one of four different display styles:

If you need your book display to be a particular size or shape you can customize the exact pixel dimensions for any of the display styles. You can also choose how many books you want to display at a time.
You can go back to your account and change any of these options at any time. If you do, your book display will automatically change on your site, without you having to make any changes to the original HTML coding you pasted in.
We would suggest that it’s well worth experimenting at first to find what works most effectively on your site. The click-through stats are an excellent indicator of which books are the most popular and which display method is most effective, so taking the time to customize these settings is definitely recommended.
Receiving your payment
As well as telling you how many click-throughs you’ve generated and which books were bought, you will able to see a running total of your commission revenue. You will receive your first payment at the end of the first quarter in which your total revenue reaches £50.
You will then continue to receive your commission payment in blocks of £50 at a time, which will be paid quarterly. Any additional commission that doesn’t reach the next £50 block will carry over to the following month.
