A peer-reviewed journal on the design, construction and management of intelligent buildings

An intelligent building provides a sustainable, responsive, effective and supportive environment within which individuals and organisations can achieve their objectives. Technology is fundamental, but is an enabler rather than an end in itself.

Going beyond traditional engineering and architecture solutions, the Intelligent Buildings International (INBI) journal examines new methodologies and tools for intelligent buildings, smart materials and systems, and explores the wider context beyond theoretical foundations, linking practical solutions with philosophical or sociological considerations.

Contributions to the journal are welcomed. The journal includes review articles, research articles, case study articles, technical notes and reviews.
