Earthscan's Manual of European Environmental Policy was the recipient of the European Information Association's 2011 Award for European Information Sources. The Manual, written by an interdisciplinary team of experts from the Institute of European Environmental Policy (IEEP), was launched as an online product in 2010, and has been extensively restructured to reflect the changing nature and development of European environmental policy.

Ian Thomson, President of the European Information Association, said "The transformation of the Manual from a loose-leaf to online information service has been a total success, preserving the authority and clarity of the original, while offering major new advances in coverage, functionality and direct hyperlinking to full text sources of EU environmental legislation and case law."
